Hi, my name is Hugo Sousa, I’m 25 years old and I’ve been surfing since I was 14. I’ve been a surf coach since 2021 and have experience working with surfers of all ages and levels, from beginners to more advanced riders focused on technical progression. In my lessons I regularly use filming and video analysis as key tools to help each student progress faster and with more awareness. I am a certified Level I surf coach by the Portuguese Surf Federation, and I believe in a coaching approach adapted to each individual, focused on technical development, confidence in the water, and above all, the joy of surfing.

I've been coaching for the last 5 years, after a career in surfing competition! I coach intermediate and advanced surfers, both young and adults! Typically around Lisbon area (mostly Caparica), but also go to Ericeira and Peniche. Now working with the Portuguese Junior National Team
